Steps to create KPI Dashboard
Step 1: Open Tableau
Step 2: Click on Text file to connect with Tableau
Step 3: Browse csv file (or other file format as your need) and click on Open
Step 4: Click on Sheet 1 (Worksheet) to make visual
Step 5: Click on Analysis tab and select Create Calculated Field…
Step 6: Give a name for the field (KPI) and place the following formula as mentioned in image:
Step 7: Drag-n-drop Year in Columns and Profit Loss in Rows
Step 8: Click on dropdown with Automatic (Marks card) and select Area
Step 9: Drag-n-drop KPI and Profit Loss over Label (Marks card)
Step 10: Click on Label (Marks card) and select (…) dot (at right of Text)
Step 11: Make AGG(KPI) bold for clear visual
Step 12: Drag KPI and drop over Filters shelf
Step 13: Click on All to select all values in KPI
Step 14: Right click over KPI (Filters shelf) and select Show Filter
Step 15: Drag-n-drop KPI over Color (Marks card)
Step 16: Click on Color (Marks card) and select Edit Colors…
Step 17: Give appropriate colors to KPI values (e.g., Green to Above Benchmark and Red to Below Benchmark)

- On selecting all values in KPI filter, all above and below benchmark.

- On selecting Above Benchmark in KPI filter, it will show sum of profit loss more than 35000 in a year with green area.

- On selecting Below Benchmark in KPI filter, it will show sum of profit loss more than 35000 in a year with red area.
