Key Influencer: It is a visualization tool that helps in understanding the factors causing some changes in sales growth or other things as per the domain. By using to it, user can identify the factors that can be useful in business.
Dataset description
This file has information about sales for a store. It has details about products, sales numbers, and customer information that was collected over time. You can look at this dataset to see how well the company is making its sales goals and to see how well sales are going, as well as to see how customers act and how much money the company makes. Date | The date on which the sales transaction occurred. |
Product | The name or identification of the product sold. |
Quantity | The number of units of the product sold in the transaction. |

Customer | The name or unique ID of the customer making the purchase. |
Location | The geographical location (city, region, or country) where the transaction took place. |
Total Sale | The total sales value for the transaction, calculated as Quantity * Rate . |
Total Profit | The total profit generated from the transaction, calculated after deducting the cost of the goods sold from the total sales. |
Target Sale | The sales target set for the transaction, which could be used to assess performance against goals. |

Procedure to create Key Influencer in PowerBI:
Step1: Open your PowerBI Desktop on your Device.
Step2: Click on Get Data button in Home Ribbon and select Text/CSV.
Step3: Open Prompt box will be open to select your text or csv file.
Step4: After selection of dataset, It will pop up a window for Load OR Transform Data. Click on Load to use data on PowerBI.
Step5: In the following picture, data has been loaded successfully.
Step6: Select Key Influencer from Visualizations Section (Right Hand Side).
Step7: Here, we’ll put the following data (from Sales) in different fields:

After that you have to click on format your visual. Go to the General click on turn on visual border and the shadow. In the Visual border make the rounded corner of 15 px.
Insights from the chart
With this Key Influencer, we’re getting that as price is increasing profit is increasing. And when prices go up 212.91, the average of Total Profit increase by 33.02.
Conclusion
With the help of Key Influencer in PowerBI, we can easily identify which factor is causing a difference or an important fact. This tool can break down the data to show how different groups are affected differently. It makes it easier to interpret data in a visually appealing way with charts and graphs.
